Wikipedia describes Eastover as a town of about 1.2 square miles in Richland County, at 190 feet above sea level, within the Columbia metro area. It lists several National Register sites, including a mercantile store and a plantation, and says Congaree National Park is about twelve miles southwest. A drive of that length makes the park a day trip, so everyday training happens on local roads and in yards.
The National Park Service says pets are allowed on all Congaree trails, including the boardwalk, on a leash no longer than six feet and under control at all times. Pets may not be left unattended, and waste must be picked up. The service also warns that parts of the boardwalk are elevated and confined, so a dog that is uneasy around people or other dogs may prefer other trails. Practice passing others before you go.
A joint National Guard base and an Air National Guard headquarters are in town, per Wikipedia, so aircraft noise may be part of life for some households. Dogs who startle at overhead sounds do better with gradual exposure, starting with recordings at low volume while they eat. Rural yards also bring wildlife scent and open gates. Teach a reliable wait at every door and gate, and use a long line for recall practice instead of trusting open space or a fence you have not tested.
Large lots mean fewer sidewalk encounters but more time home alone for some dogs, and boredom becomes digging or barking. Daily sniff walks, food puzzles and short practice sessions help. Home visits suit this setting, with general estimates of about $100 to $200 per visit and possible travel charges, varying by trainer and market. Ask early about distance, since a trainer may need to drive a fair way, and find out whether travel is built into the fee or billed separately.

Good questions
Before you begin.
Can I bring my dog to Congaree National Park?
The Park Service says pets are allowed on all trails, including the boardwalk, on a leash six feet or shorter and attended at all times.
Why does my dog dig in the yard?
Digging often comes from boredom or scent of wildlife. More exercise, puzzles and supervised yard time usually help.
Does distance affect training costs in rural areas?
It can. Some trainers add travel charges, so ask before you book a home visit.
How can I help a dog who startles at aircraft noise?
Start with low-volume recordings during meals, raise the volume slowly, and keep a safe indoor spot available.
